First emerging in 1990, Dutch Eurodance brothers Bobby Boer and Martin Boer
started life as bedroom producers before blowing up in the early '90s with a
pair of hit dance singles. Their hip-house-indebted 1990 single "Can't Help
Myself" found an audience both at home and abroad, marking a collaboration with
rapper Da Smooth Baron MC and singers Peggy "The Duchess" and Gale Robinson that
facilitated the 1991 top 20 follow-up, "Turn da Music Up." The brothers put the
project on ice after that, with Martin Boer moving into a new professional
studio and remixing for artists like Beck...
