The Taiwanese boy band 5566 formed in January 2002 around the shared talents of
Tony Sun, Jason Hsu, Sam Wang, Zax Wang, and Rio Peng. Each band member had
experienced a degree of regional success before 5566's launch. Sun, the group's
leader, released several albums of his own during the 1990s before enlisting in
the military to fulfill his mandatory service, which effectively halted his solo
