A Turma Do Balão Mágico was a Brazilian children’s music group between 1982 and
1986. The group was formed after 5-year-old Simony Benelli Galasso appeared on
the Brazilian show Raul Gil as a singer. She was approached by producer Tomás
Muñoz about starting a music duo with Vimerson Cavanillas Benedicto. They worked
with songwriter Edgard Poças on their first album. After the album was finished,
Muñoz recruited Michael Biggs after the boy became a media darling when he
