Akira Yamaoka, born on February 6, 1968, in Niigata, Japan, is a Japanese
composer and music producer. Initially pursuing a career in design, after
attending Tokyo Art College, Yamaoka shifted his focus when he joined
entertainment and video game developer Konami in 1993, contributing to various
games such as Contra: Hard Corps, Sparkster, as well as providing music for
