Born in 1943, Al Bano is a major figure in Italian pop, notably through the duo
he formed in the 1970s with actress Romina Power, daughter of Tyrone Power.
Together, the couple scored a string of hits until 1996, when he resumed his
solo career. In 1976, their rendition of "We'll Live It All Again" finished 7th
in the Eurovision Song Contest, as did "Magic Oh Magic" in 1985. Other hits
include "Dialogo " (1975), "Sharazan" (1981), "Felicita " (1982) and "Ci Sara "
(1984). The duo split up in 1996, three years after their divorce.
