Alexis Baro
Alexis Baro is a Cuban-Canadian trumpet player and composer. Born into a musical
family in Havana, Cuba, he was drawn to the trumpet at the tender age of 8. His
passion and talent led him to the prestigious Amadeo Roldán Music Conservatory
in Havana, where he not only honed his skills but also earned a teaching
certification. During this time, he cut his teeth playing with Buena Vista
Social Club star Omara Portuondo and leading the trumpet section for the
National Radio and Television Orchestra at just 19. After moving to Toronto,
