Born in Mandla, Madhya Pradesh on July 14, 1987, Indian singer-songwriter Ami
Mishra began nurturing a love of music while still at college, honing his skills
in a band while also appearing in reality competition shows. He moved to Mumbai
in 2014 to pursue his musical dreams and seven months later made his debut with
his song "Hasi" – featuring vocals from Shreya Ghosal and lyricist Kunaal Vermaa
– for the Indian romantic drama film Hamari Adhuri Kahani, directed by Mohit
Suri and produced by Mahesh Bhatt for Vishesh Films. The hit song won the GiMA
