Brazilian singer and actress Larissa de Macedo Machado, better known by her stage name Anitta, was born in Rio de Janeiro on March 30, 1993. She sang in the church choir at the age of eight and set her sights on becoming a pop star as a teenager. At the age of 17, she managed to land a record deal and, two years later, caused a stir with the controversial song "Meiga e Abusada" (2012), catching the attention of the Warner Music label.
