An American pianist of Irish origin, Arthur Hanlon draws his inspiration from
Latin music. Born in Detroit, he made his debut at the age of fifteen with the
Flip Jackson Band, then moved to New York to study at the Manhattan School of
Music. Influenced by Latin jazz, in 1999 he recorded his first self-produced
album, Encuentros, which attracted the attention of Fonovisa Records, the label
that released his next successful albums, El Piano Amarillo (2001), 11 Números
