Real name Gilles Ateyaba Koffi Soler, Ateyaba was born on October 27, 1989 in Narbonne, Aude. The child of a Togolese mother and a father of Spanish origin, he grew up in Montpellier, where he discovered a passion for rap, influenced by artists such as Secteur Ä and Dr. Dre. He was spotted on the MySpace platform by Teki Latex, from the group TTC. Latex invited him to record his first street album in Paris.
