27, 1952), known professionally as Bappi Lahiri, was an award-winning Indian
singer, composer, and producer. Credited with introducing the use of
synthesizers in Indian music, he rose to prominence with several film scores
during the 1980s and 1990s. He is also known for his extravagant, Elvis
Presley-inspired looks, which often consisted of multiple gold chains, velvet
