Composer and pianist born in Meulan-en-Yvelines on June 17, 1974, Baptiste Trotignon took up the violin in his youth, before choosing the piano, following in the footsteps of his father, an amateur musician who gave him his first lessons. After graduating from the Conservatoire de Nantes, the young musician turned to jazz. He began composing for the cinema, notably for Alain Corneau's film Le Nouveau Monde (1995).
