Bars and Melody
The duo of Leondre 'Bars' Devries and singer Charlie 'Melody' Lenehan initially
teamed up on Facebook in 2013 before meeting early in 2014 when they formed the
band under its current name. They went on to successfully audition for
'Britain's Got Talent' in the same year. They performed with such success in the
heats that the lead judge, Simon Cowell, pressed the 'Gold Buzzer' and sent them
straight through to the semi-finals. The pair went on to reach third place with
their first single 'Hopeful', which also carried a strong anti-bullying message.
