Natasha Khan, (born 25 October 1979 in London, England) better known by her
stage name Bat for Lashes, was born to an English mother and a Pakistani father;
former professional squash player Rehmat Khan. After her parents' separation,
Khan began playing piano, later pursuing music and visual arts at the University
of Brighton, making her breakthrough with the dreamy track "What's A Girl To Do"
from her 2007 debut album Fur And Gold - a seductive mix of hypnotic electronica
