Beatrice Ilejay Laus is better known by her stage name Beabadoobee. At the age
of three, her family relocated to London, England and she grew up listening to
Filipino music and British pop and rock from the 1980s. She spent seven years
learning to play the violin, but by the time she was 17, she switched her focus
to the guitar. In September of 2017, she recorded her own composition, “Coffee,”
and a cover of Karen O’s “The Moon Song” and released them via social media.
