Dwight Equan Grant, aka Beanie Sigel, is an American rapper and actor from South
Philadelphia. He had a rapid rise to fame, catching a wave that took him from an
appearance on one of DJ Clue's mixtapes to Jay-Z's 'Vol 2: Hard Knock Life' and
then a deal of his own with Roc-a-Fella Records. His debut album, 'The Truth',
came out through the label in 2000 and was met with critical and commercial
