Born in Los Angeles on December 18, 2001, into a family of actors and musicians,
Billie Eilish (full name Billie Eilish Pirate Baird O'Connell) began singing in
a choir at eight years old. Encouraged by her brother Finneas O'Connell, a
member of the band The Slightlys, she created her first song demos, including
"Ocean Eyes" (2016). Released under the Interscope label, "Ocean Eyes" charted
globally, hitting the top 40 in New Zealand. The track was followed by other
singles such as "Bellyache" and "Bored," which was featured in the series 13
