Born on 30 October 1982 in Neath, West Glamorgan, Bright Light Bright Light is
the stage name of Rod Thomas; a Welsh singer, songwriter, and producer known for
his neon-lit electro-pop aesthetic. He began his career after moving to London
in the 2000s, where he later cut his teeth as a busker and set up a home studio
in 2009. That same year, with his creative vision now starting to take shape, he
sent some demo tracks to famed US producer Boom Bip, who helped him to further
