A big, jovial fellow who was thought to be eternally funny, Carlos passed away on January 17, 2008, following a bout of cancer. The man who was for a whole generation Mr. "Mais-qu'est-ce-que-tu-bois-Doudou-dis-donc?", a regular on RTL's Grosses Têtes, and a mainstay of entertainment shows for young and old alike, was best known for his flirtatious songs such as "Big bisou", "Le Papayou" and "Rosalie", but this should not obscure the fact that the flower-shirted fantasist had a rich and varied career behind him.
