Charles & Eddie
Charles & Eddie were a short-lived American soul and R&B duo from New York City
who enjoyed great success in the US during the early 90s. Following a fortunate
encounter on the New York City subway, Eddie Chacon and Charles Pettigrew
quickly hit it off and started working on their studio debut, the critically and
commercially acclaimed Duophonic (1992). Heavily inspired from 70s Northern
soul, the album spawned the massive hit “Would I Lie to You?,” which topped the
UK Singles Chart for two consecutive weeks and reached the top of the charts in
countries like New Zealand, Germany...
