Country music singer-songwriter Charlie Robison was born on September 1, 1964,
in Houston, Texas. Originally interested in pursuing a career in football, an
injury while attending Southwest Texas State University brought an end to those
dreams so he chose to embrace his love of music instead. Moving to Austin, he
played in several local bands before deciding to pursue a solo career, releasing
