Cheer Chen
Folk rock singer Cheer Chen was born Chen Chi-chen on June 6, 1975, in Taipei,
Taiwan. Interested in music at a young age, her mother encouraged her to pursue
her passion, which led Cheer Chen to forming her first indie band, Sunscreen, in
the early 1990s. In 1997, she recorded and released her first solo demo
recordings. Discovered by Taiwanese rock singer-songwriter Wu Bai (from Wu Bai &
China Blue), she signed to Rock Records and released her debut album, Think
Twice, in 1998, followed two years later by her sophomore album, Lonely Without
