Chris Minh Doky – born in Copenhagen, Denmark on February 7, 1969 – is a Vietnamese-Danish bassist, composer, and bandleader. While he’s best-known as a jazz musician, he has also performed with rock artists, symphony orchestras, ballet companies and opera singers. He began playing in Denmark but while in his teens, he moved to New York to pursue music as a career. He was discovered by jazz guitarist Mike Stern, who hired him for his own band.
