Cibelle
A Brazilian singer at ease with the times, Cibelle incorporates rock, electro
and folk influences into her Latin rhythms. Spotted by Belgian label Crammed
Discs, the São Paulo-born ex-model has been in the spotlight since her debut
album in 2003. A Londoner by adoption, she welcomes Devendra Banhart and Seu
Jorge on The Shine of Dried Electric Leaves (2006) and collaborates with the
"freak folk" scene. In 2010, she released the conceptual Las Vênus Resort Palace
Hotel, featuring the fictional Sonja Khalecallon.
