Culture Beat is a German Eurodance project founded in Frankfurt in 1989 by Torsten Fenslau. Although the band released a large number of singles and albums, they are best known for their super hit "Mr. Vain" (1993) - featuring British singer Tania Evans - which was a number one hit in eleven European countries, including Germany, but also reached number one in Australia and number 17 on the American Billboard Top 17.
