Born October 27, 1939, in Spiro, Oklahoma, Dallas Frazier was a country music
singer, songwriter, and musician. Although he was a recording artist in his own
right, he is best-known as a songwriter and achieved his greatest successes in
the 1950s, 1960s, and 1970s. Raised in Bakersfield, California, he spent time as
teenager playing on the Hometown Jamboree radio program with Ferlin Husky. In
