Brazilian sertanejo singer José Daniel Camillo, professionally known as Daniel,
was born on September 9, 1968, in Brotas, São Paulo. He grew up in a musical
family and started performing at the age of 8 under the pseudonym Teodoro. In
1982, at the age of 14, he formed a duo with his friend João Paulo, and they
started performing at local bars and events. The duo gained popularity and
signed a recording contract with the Chantecler label in 1985. Their debut
