Darin
Better known as Darin, Darin Zanyar is a Swedish singer of Kurdish origin, born
in Stockholm on June 2, 1987. As a child, he developed a passion for music,
listening to artists such as Stevie Wonder, Michael Jackson and Whitney Houston.
He composed his first songs at the age of 14. He shot to fame in 2004, aged just
16, when he took part in the first season of Swedish Idol, finishing as a
finalist. Signed by Sony/BMG, he released his first album, The Anthem, in 2005.
