As one of the world's great filmmakers, David Lynch became renowned for creating surrealist classics such as Eraserhead (1977), The Elephant Man (1980), Blue Velvet (1986), Mullholland Drive (2001), and the TV series Twin Peaks (1990-91 / 2017).
