Dax Riders were one of the first French electro-rock bands to experiment with a dirty house version. Formed in 1994 as a duo, Dax Riders became a trio in 1998. Their debut, the EP "Hysterical Mama", hinted at electro funk rock with a house flavour, but their first album, Dax, in 1999, failed to make a breakthrough. It wasn't until 2001 and the track "People" on Backintown that they broke through.
