DC Talk are a Christian hip-hop and rock group formed in 1987 in the city of
Lynchburg, Virginia by friends Toby McKeehan, Michael Tait and Kevin Max. Their
1990 release 'Nu Thang' was nominated for a Grammy Award as Best
Rock/Contemporary Gospel Album and went to number five on Billboard's Top
Christian Albums Chart. Their 1991 album 'd.c.Talk' reached number ten and 'Free
at Last' (1993) topped the chart and won the Grammy Award for Best Rock Gospel
Album.
