Death make no secret of the fact that they are one of the pioneers of death
metal, as well as one of the most outstanding examples of the genre. Formed by
guitarist Chuck Schuldiner in 1983 in Orlando, Florida, Death made their debut
in 1987 with the impressive Scream Bloody Gore. A victim, as it should be, of
incessant personnel changes, Death was slow to establish its style. Their fourth
