Die Sterne

A German indie-pop band from Hamburg, Die Sterne reached a commercial peak around the turn of the century, when albums like 1999's Wo ist hier and 2002's Irres Licht both became Top 40 hits in Germany. Singer/guitarist Frank Spilker had initially launched Die Sterne as a side project in 1987. The subsequent arrival of bassist Thomas Wenzel and drummer Christoph Leich in 1991 marked the band's official formation.
