Fernando de Ouro Preto, aka Dinho Ouro Preto, is a rock vocalist from Brazil who came to fame as the lead singer of rock/punk band Capital Inicial, which he joined after an audition in 1983. Prior to this, as the son of diplomat Ambassador Affonso Celso de Ouro Preto, the young Preto had travelled widely including a formative period in Switzerland where he was exposed to rock music. Returning to Brazil saw him introduced to punk via The Ramone's highly-influential 'End of the Century' LP and also to local band Electric Abortio'.
