Ivorian coupé-décalé disc jockey DJ Lewis was born in Port-Bouët on October 27,
1984. He shot to fame in 2005 with his participation in the DJ Attalaku Orange
competition, which enabled him to launch and release his debut album Stop Grippe
Aviaire the following year, featuring his first hit "Grippe aviaire". At the
African Diaspora Awards, held in London in 2006, he was awarded the prize for
"Best Artist" and embarked on an extensive tour of the USA the following year.
