Edward E. Bello Pou, popularly recognized as El Cata, is a Dominican urban
artist renowned for pioneering the electro-mambow genre—an infectious blend of
merengue and hip-hop. Born on September 15, 1977, in Barahona, Dominican
Republic, he moved from the Dominican Republic to Puerto Rico at age 5, and then
