El Poder del Norte
Mexican norteño group El Poder del Norte formed in Monterrey, Nuevo León, in
1993. The group started after Arturo Buenrostro and Jesús Buenrostro Hernández
started the group Los Pioneros, recording music for the MCM label in the early
1990s. After a few years, they both left the label to start a new musical
project. They soon signed with the Discos Sabinas label under their new name El
Poder del Norte, and a lineup made up of Arturo Buenrostro, Arturo Buenrostro
Jr., David Bocanegra, Abimael de la Garza, Ricardo González, and Alejandro
