Born and raised in Philadelphia where she first sang in local choirs, Eve
Jeffers moved to New York where she was working as a stripper in a Bronx club
when she met the rapper Mase. It was Mase who encouraged her to become a rapper
and was featured on The Roots' 1999 album Things Fall Apart, when she was listed
as Eve Of Destruction. She was signed by Dr Dre and teamed up with DMX and Ruff
Ryders, releasing her first album Let There Be Eve...Ruff Ryders' First Lady in
