Real name Félix Boutboul, born in Tunis on June 28, 1956, Félix Gray scored a major hit with his duet with Didier Barbelivien. After working in a restaurant and then as a salesman, he launched his singing career and signed with the label of producer Charles Talar, who banked on the songs he brought with him. Arranged by Raymond Donnez, "La Gitane" was an instant hit in 1988, reaching No. 3 in the Top 50, and led to the recording of further singles.
