Born in Vienna on December 25, 1962, Austrian Christian Fennesz, or Fennesz for
short, carries on the tradition of experimentation of the pioneers of krautrock
and experimental rock. A guitarist fascinated by synthetic sounds, he
collaborated with Ryuichi Sakamoto and Sparklehorse before launching his own
career. Fennesz has become a benchmark since his 1997 album Hotel Paral.lel ,
and crossed paths with David Sylvian on Venice in 2004. In 2010, he recorded
Knoxville live, accompanied by David Daniell and Tony Buck. Other
