Ferhat Göçer – born in Birecik, Turkey on May 11, 1970 – is perhaps the only
successful pop and opera singer in the world who maintained a dual career as
both a Turkish pop star and physician / general surgeon. Growing up in Ismit,
Turkey, he attended The Istanbul Faculty of Medicine in 1985 before enrolling in
the Istanbul University State Conservatory Singing Department in 1988. After
