Françios Deguelt, whose real name is Louis Deghelt, is best known for his 1965
hit "Le Ciel, le soleil et la mer", but his other songs were not as successful.
A cabaret singer and Jacques Brel emulator, he hung up his microphone at the end
of the sixties, reappearing in 2006 with the nostalgic Äge tendre et tête de
bois tour. He died on January 22, 2014 at the age of 81.
