Frank Darcel
Guitarist and composer, founder of the band Marquis de Sade. Franck Darcel left
his medical studies at an early age to devote himself to rock, which included a
trip to New York and interviews with Richard Hell and David Johansen. Promoted
by the press as the band's intellectual, he contributed to the image of hard
German influence that Marquis de Sade had for a while. But his contribution was
above all musical, and once the rhythmic base had been built (with Eric
Morinière and Philippe Alexandre) he took a more pop and colorful direction. It
