Reyes was born Francisco López Reyes on June 4, 1969, in Tenares, Hermanas
Mirabal. Renowned for his contribution to the bachata genre, he is a seven-time
"Bachata of the Year" winner at the Soberano Awards. He found his musical
calling at an early age, forming a group with his brothers. At 12, he moved to
Santo Domingo, working a series of odd jobs before deciding to pursue a music
