Garou (born Pierre Garand in Sherbrooke, Canada, on June 26, 1972) was one of the leading figures of the generation of Quebec artists who flooded into France in the late 1990s, and immediately made a name for himself with his distinctive sound, becoming a major star in the French-speaking world on both sides of the Atlantic. Famous since the musical Notre-Dame de Paris and its iconic song "Belle" (1998), Garou went on to sign the album Seul in 2000, and enjoyed a prolific career that ranged from original and cover albums - Gentleman Cambrioleur in 2009 - to more personal records ...
