Gary LeVox – born Gary Vernon, Jr. on July 10, 1970 in Powell, Ohio – is a
country music singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist best-known as the
lead vocalist of country superstars Rascal Flatts. He began his performing
career singing in public for the first time at the age of 8. By the time he was
14, he had founded an AC/DC cover band. After graduating Olentangy High School,
he attended Ohio State University. Enticed by his cousin, bassist/vocalist Jay
