Gavin James
The Irish singer-songwriter Gavin James was born Gavin Wigglesworth in 1991 and
brought up in Galway. He comes from a family with a history in the performing
arts; his grandfather was a comedian and his great-grandparents were both opera
singers. His initial foray into music was with a rock band he formed with some
friends as a young boy. Intriguingly, the band split up after what Wigglesworth
described in an interview as a "paranormal experience".
As a teenager he continued to develop his performing skills by playing open mic
