Geraldine Hunt - born Geraldine Milligan in St. Louis, Missouri on February 10,
1945 – was an R&B singer best known for her 1980 disco hit "Can't Fake the
Feeling". Growing up in Chicago in a family of musicians, she attended high
school with her best friend Minnie Riperton and eventually signed with the
Checker Records label. Her early releases included the singles “I Let Myself Go”
(1962) and “Sneak Around” (1963). She didn’t achieve chart success until 1970
with the release of “You & I,” her duet with Charlie Hodges, which reached
