French DJ and music producer Mike Levy, known to the public as Gesaffelstein,
was born in Lyon on June 13, 1987. His stage name is a portmanteau word, a
neologism made up of the term Gesamtkunstwerk and the surname of the
world-famous physicist Albert Einstein. He began composing his first songs on an
analog synthesizer as a teenager and released his debut EP Vengeance Factory in
2008. Between 2009 and 2012, he released seven more EPs and collaborated with
