Born in Cairo, Egypt on June 5, 1944, Gillian Hills is a British actress and
Yé-Yé/pop singer. Gillian is the daughter of traveler, teacher, author, and
adventurer Denis Hills and Wanda Leśmianówna, the daughter of Polish poet
Boleslaw Leśmian. Gillian grew up in Nice, France and was discovered at the age
of 14 by director Roger Vadim, who cast her in his 1959 film Les Liaisons
dangereuses. While she continued to make films – including Beat Girl (1960),
